David Kuijers

David Kuijers, born in 1962 in Vanderbijlpark near Johannesburg, completed his schooling at the Pretoria School of Art, Music & Ballet with a distinction in graphic art and the best painter award for 1980. He then studied Graphic Design (majoring in illustration) at the Cape Technikon, receiving the merit award as top student upon graduating. After freelancing as a designer/illustrator for 10 years, David became a full-time artist in 1999. He is married to artist Dina Kuijers and they have three children, two of whom are also artists.
